Chocolate & Fruit-Stuffed Teacakes

Sweet, simple fuel for your next adventure

Some mornings just call for something a little extra—something warm, gooey, and downright indulgent. These Chocolate & Fruit-Stuffed Teacakes hit that sweet spot. Loaded with melted chocolate, juicy fruit, and buttery toasted teacakes, they’re quick to make and packed with energy—ideal before a hike, a paddle, or just to keep the camp vibes going strong.

Whether you’re setting off for the day or just fancy a cheeky snack back at base, this one’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Sticky fingers expected.

What You’ll Need

  • 2 Teacakes (halved)
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 Banana (sliced)
  • 4 Strawberries (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Chocolate Spread
  • Icing Sugar (for a light dusting)

How to Make It

  • Get things buttery: Start by generously buttering your teacake halves and laying them flat-side down in a cold frying pan.
  • Layer on the goodness: Spread a thick, unapologetic layer of chocolate spread over each one. This isn’t the time to be shy.
  • Fruit it up: Add alternating slices of banana and strawberry—load them up as much as you dare.
  • Press & toast: Close the teacakes like sandwiches, press them together gently, and toast them over a medium heat. Flip after a couple of minutes, until both sides are golden and the chocolate’s oozing.
  • Finishing touches: Remove from the pan, slice in half, give them a light snowfall of icing sugar, and (if there’s any left) drizzle over that last bit of chocolate spread.

Pro Tip

Wrap them in foil and keep them warm in your backpack. Come mid-morning, you’ll thank yourself.

Simple. Sweet. Proper tasty. These teacakes are the edible equivalent of a high-five before you hit the trail.
